Do not sign up for protected registration. It would more truthfully be called "You Can't Terminate for the Life of Your Credit Card" registration.
I have been trying to terminate my protected registration. Four phone calls and 3 emails later, I am still unsuccessful. They are requiring that I produce documents that don't exist (and that were not required to create the account).
This has been a very frustrating process. Because of this, I don't recommend GoDaddy.

Stay away from GoDaddy if you want to build a dynamic site, especially on a WordPress platform. My similar websites are very slow, a lot of time are down while I'm getting 500 internal server errors or database errors, and the support sucks by all means - they send you fullish answers and aren't helpful at all. So, make yourself a BIG service - stay away from GoDaddy hosting!

Horrible Horrible Horrible!! words just don't cut it!! I wish there was some other word for the service that Go daddy provides! I don't know if they lack technical people there or not, it has one of the worst services. My website was down just because of one problem; and it's not like i've never had that problem before with another hosting provider. But it was solved very easily(with in 30 minutes). My advice go to another hosting providers. Godaddy doesn't care about your website.

worst ever kind of service and support godaddy.com provides..we took the email service from them and within 30 days of purchase of this service started facing lots of issues..Firstly the incoming server was down for 3 days , send /receive errors in outlook then after that mail delivery was erratic. sometimes email sent in the morning would reach after 2 days sometimes after 3 days. Customer care in india had no clue about the resolution.

After leaving the last message, we called godaddy one more time, and this time a support rep that actually understood the situation fixed our issue by moving us from a server where another site(s) were behaving erratically to a group that was known to be stable. The new group had only a handful of other sites on it as opposed to the ~1000 we were previously sharing resources with. It worked very well, I must admit - our site has never been faster.

Until recently, I had nothing bad to say about GoDaddy. In the last week, a client's website has been down over 10 hours. Hardly 99.9% uptime. Even when it works, it has been very slow to respond about half the time. When calling support, every support rep has a different story, most of which involved placing the blame on our CMS (which has not changed, and worked lighting-fast up until these issues). Their solution is usually up-selling rather than finding out which of the other (literally) thousand sites on our server (or server cluster, so they claim) is causing the slow spots and outages. I won't use them for any more of my clients, and I won't renew with them again. I'm off to find hosts with some integrity.

I have used GoDaddy to host my clients' sites as well as my own site for years, and am very happy with them. I have not experienced any downtime nor technical problems with them. Their support staff is as responsive as can be expected for such a large company, and is always very helpful, knowledgeable and patient. I'd definitely recommend their services.
